Getting to Events on Emerson
1. Cruise through Aberdeen
- From US‑12, roll past the “WELCOME TO ABERDEEN – COME AS YOU ARE” sign. That’s your grunge‑era gateway to Grays Harbor.
- Stay on the main drag; it becomes US‑101 North as you cross the Wishkah River drawbridge (this is the cantilever bridge just past Burger King).
2. Follow US-101 to Hoquiam
- Stick with US‑101. Look for signs that say “Ocean Shores”.
- After about four miles, you’ll glide over the green‑towered Hoquiam River bridge—this one’s your cue that you are almost here! You will want to be in the left hand lane, but follow the road to the right after the bridge.
3. Turn left at the SR‑109 / Emerson Avenue light
- You’ll pass two signals after the bridge — the first only goes straight, so ignore it. The second signal is signed “SR 109 / Emerson Ave.” — that’s your left.
- Landmarks: Art Pocklington Central Playfield is on your left.
- Swing left here onto Emerson Avenue (SR 109)—this is the start of the scenic coastal highway and is signed “Ocean Shores”.
4. One short block to the venue
- Go one block west, just past the park to 4th Street.
- On the near‑left corner sits a charming white church with brown trim—that’s Events on Emerson, 212 4th Street. Pull to the curb on Emerson or 4th; parking’s usually plentiful.
Quick recap
US‑12 → cross Wishkah → stay on US‑101 → cross Hoquiam River → LEFT at SR‑109 / Emerson Ave. → one block → white church on left.
If you pass more stoplights or see Simpson Ave., you’ve overshot—just loop back to Emerson.
Important note: there are a lot of one-way streets in this area, so pay close attention to signs if you get lost.
